the presentation will discuss the landmark decision in Bjorkquist v. Attorney General of Canada striking down the second generation cut-off for Canadian citizenship and the introduction of Bill C-71 in Parliament as a result. the discussion will also touch more broadly on lost Canadians from a historical perspective, as well as the importance of constitutional litigation in the area of immigration and citizenship law.
