Summery

This 3-hour session, designed for RISIAs and RCICs, will cover ethical considerations in the field of international student advising. The subject matters that would be covered are Obligation of Confidentiality Issues, Conflict of Interest (conflict of loyalties) when the student advisor has an active business outside Academia, Record Keeping, “Marketing of Services” considerations, initial or service agreement complications, and delivery of quality services (d) demonstrate cultural sensitivity) and uphold of EDI Principles.

The session will include several examples of real world scenarios, ethical dilemmas, and the conflict resolution solutions.
